Kestrel Valley is music for the idea of somewhere quiet, whether or not you're anywhere near it. Field recordings and slow instrumentation, made for people who miss a version of the countryside they may never have properly lived in.
Nothing here is trying to transport you convincingly. It's more of a suggestion, a window left open onto somewhere still.

Most of this was made indoors, in a city, with the window open.
It is meant for the same sort of room. A kitchen late on, a train home, a walk that only goes as far as the end of the road and back.
Play it low and leave it running.
